Distributivos process

The Coffee Warehouse is a new business providing high-quality, full service distribution of coffee, specialty beverages and beverage-related supplies to coffee houses and espresso stands throughout the Spokane and Northern Idaho market.
The principal owners are Steve and Jennifer Smith, whose combined experience brings office management, high levels of customer service, and over 20 years in distribution and sales management.  At this time we are seeking additional equity capital to compliment our own investment and are seeking to arrange a bank line for inventory and receivables financing.  We have firm commitments to distribute several high-quality new age beverage products, and have verbal commitments from independent retailers throughout the Spokane and Northern Idaho market to carry our product.  We plan to distribute our first products within 30-60 days of finalizing financial arrangements.
Sales projections for The Coffee Warehouse are estimated to begin at approximately $2,229,000 the first year, increasing to approximately $2,558,000 in Year 2 and approximately $2,936,000 in Year 3.  Our net profit is projected at approximately $283,000 the first year, increasing to $406,000 by the end of the third year of operation.

The evaluation process consists of the following phases a self-evaluation process with the aim to enhance the institutional strategic leadership, capacity for improvement and change through self-reflection. It is followed by a self-evaluation report which provides information to the evaluation team, with emphasis on the institution's strategic and quality management activities;
two site visits of an evaluation team  composed of current or former European rectors or vice-rectors, a student and a senior higher education expert
an evaluation report, which is published online, that highlights good practices identified and includes recommendations for improvement
follow-up procedure: within one year of publication of the final evaluation report, the institution submits to the IEP secretariat and the evaluation team a progress report. Evaluated institutions are encouraged to register for a follow-up evaluation carried out by IEP one to three years after the initial evaluation.

distribution process

Starbucks’ Distribution Channel

Although coffee is one of the highest in volume of global trading, the coffee market is very fragmented. This has led to a consolidation process where coffee is handed off from farmer to collector, collector to miller, miller to exporter or broker, and finally to importer. The importer or broker then sells the coffee to large mass-market coffee roasters and producers.

Starbucks however, wishes to maintain the quality of its coffee by working back up the supply chain to the actual growers. In doing so the company works on attaining expertise and good relationships with the coffee growers themselves. As mentioned earlier this has resulted in the company attaining its supplies from the actual coffee growers, and thus, effectively bypassing much of the middle market and saving a sufficient amount of funds.
